Given the rising cost of living, as highlighted in the recent Quick Scan report, it is crucial to seek alternatives that reduce expenses for residents while fostering sustainable economic growth.

Through discussions with agriculture, trade, shipping, and freight forwarding representatives, valuable insights were gained on improving supply chains, reducing import costs, and leveraging regional cooperation. A key takeaway was the importance of strengthening ties with other Dutch Caribbean islands to increase purchasing power and optimize logistics.

From a tourism perspective, the mission provided an excellent platform to promote Saba as a premier destination. Meetings with travel agents, airlines, and tour operators helped position Saba within the Caribbean market, aiming to attract more visitors and support local businesses.

PES remains committed to exploring all opportunities to enhance economic resilience, affordability, and prosperity for the community. By collaborating with regional and international partners, we can work towards lowering costs, creating new economic opportunities, and ensuring a sustainable future for Saba.
