Birth of Child
Review the list of required documents needed to officially register your child's birth on Saba. Once you have gathered all necessary documents, bring them to the Census Office to complete the registration process.
Pre-Acknowledgement
To complete the pre-acknowledgement process, please ensure you have the following:
- Valid Identification: Present a valid Saban identification card or a valid passport.
- Parental Presence: Both parents must be present.
- Fee: See total below.
Registration of Birth (Child born on the island)
To register a birth of a child, please ensure you have the following:
- Valid Identification: Present a valid Saban identification card or a valid passport.
- Declaration from Medical Center: Provide a declaration from the medical center.
- Acknowledgment Certificate: If applicable, provide a copy of the acknowledgment certificate.
- Correct Spelling of Child's Name: Ensure the correct spelling of the child's name, including commas, accents, etc.
- Fee: See total below.

- Pre-Acknowledgement: $28.00
- Registration of Birth: $9.00
Total Cost: $37.00
NOTE: Registration of all births must take place within (5) five working days. Only persons present at birth can do this. |
Registration of Birth & Acknowledgement (Child born off-island)
To register the birth and acknowledgment of a child born off-island, please ensure you have the following:
- Valid Identification: Present a valid identification card or a valid passport.
- Birth Certificate: Provide the child's birth certificate.
- Saba Registration Form: Optional, with a fee of $9.00 USD.
NOTE: Kindly take note of individuals who are required to be present at the Census Office when registering: |
If parents are not married, the mother and the baby must be present at the time of registration. |
If parents are married, either parent and the baby must be present at the time of registration. |
