The Public Entity Saba wishes to inform the public that the subsidized animal feed program will be adjusted. Beginning on September 17th, 2024, PES will be subsidizing the costs for transport and import fees of feed on orders made by people active in animal husbandry. This change ensures that the subsidy goes directly to the desired amount, and the specific type of feed for each farmer.
- The reimbursement is for shipping and ABB costs related to the import of animal feed and hay, with the aim of practicing responsible animal husbandry that contributes to local food production.
- Animal owners who want to make use of this subsidy can fill in a reimbursement form after their feed order has been placed.
The reimbursement form can be found online via Forms | Public Entity Saba (sabagov.nl), which must be filled out completely before submitting via email to nike.dekkers@sabagov.nl. Receipts should also be attached, and cannot be older than one month, prior to the submission date of the reimbursement form.
To ensure a smooth transition from the current subsidized feed program to the subsidy on transport and import costs, subsidized feed will continue to be sold until October 1st, 2024, or later depending on supply. This will ensure that animal farmers can continue to purchase affordable feed.
