Joint Collaboration with De Nederlandsche Bank to Enhance Banking Services on Saba

The Public Entity Saba is pleased to announce a collaboration with De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) aimed at improving banking accessibility on the island through the installation of additional automated teller machines (ATMs). With this collaboration, Public Entity aims to enhance the portions of the banking service experience for the people of Saba.

As part of this initiative, 6 ATMs will be installed on the island, with 4 machines dispensing cash only and 2 machines for deposits only, and are scheduled to be installed on Saba during the second half of 2025.

Commissioner Bruce Zagers expressed his satisfaction with this development as it has been long known that the availability of cash and functioning ATM machines has been a challenge. "Solutions were obviously complicated, but this is the first step towards our ongoing efforts to improve the banking situation on the island. The reality is that we remain a cash driven society, so having access to more, functioning ATM machines is a step in the right direction. There is still much that needs to be worked out, thus more information will follow in the coming weeks and months as this development continues to be further worked out. The Public Entity will continue to advocate for improved banking services as this is essential and a basic need for our residents, entrepreneurs and visitors."

The Public Entity will keep the community updated as soon as the installation timeline is finalized and further details become available. We understand the public may have questions or concerns, and as the project progresses, we aim to keep the community informed.
