Mpox (Monkeypox)
Mpox is a viral infection that originally occurred mainly in West and Central Africia. Recently the spread has been wider. There have been no confirmed cases on Saba.
Symptoms can include:
- Fever
- Blisters, red spots and/or skin rash
- Headache
- Muscle Aches
- Chills
- Swollen Lymph Nodes
- Tiredness

Mpox Vaccination
Currently vaccinations are available for those considered at high risk for infection.
Although anyone can potentially get Monkeypox, at high risk are men that have sex with men (MSM) or individuals who have been notified that they are a close contact of a confirmed case.
